DEA's Funniest Home Videos
by Joe Pulcinella
I saw this last week and it was hilarious. An undercover DEA agent conducted a gun safetly demonstration at a school and acidentally shot himself in the leg with a 40-cal Glock. And the whole thing was caught on video. This happened immediately after he professed that he was the only one in the room qualified to handle the weapon.
Simple case of a citizen videpgrapher alerting the State to ineptitude by one of its own? Wrong. Not only hasn't the agent been suspended, an investigation is underway to bring the person who leaked the home video to justice for "outing" a DEA agent. Nevermind that the agent was speaking in front of a large group.
The video cleary shows the accidental shooting and students laughing at him when he not only attempts to continue the speech, but tries to demonstrate gun safety using a fully automatic rifle.

If you are an expert at handling your "Glock .40", and you are preparing to speak / do a safety demo in front of a group of kids, wouldn't you check to make sure you had an empty magazine and receiver BEFORE you brought it into that classroom? After all, it's not like he was going to be called on to bust some perps or anything there. IDIOT.
True. But I think the point to be made is how the State will put covering its own reuptatin uber alles - even the safety of the kids at that gun safety thing. Punishing the agent would only imply blame on the part of the DEA and we can't have that. And going after the guy with the video camera will teach us all a lesson in mocking the State. Can't have that, either.
i wouldnt go that far (for obbviosu reasons). not all public servants are as dumb as this guy. he did show recless behavior, though, and should be taken to task for that.
This guy is representative of the caliber of people the federal government hires. It is no wonder at all the Feds DO NOT want this video to get out.
