Government To Cure Tornadoes!

Actually, they would probably be worse if the government got involved. Anyway, here are some photos from Wilmington Airport in New Castle, DE. A tornado hit last night and flipped over a Piper Cherokee owned by my dad's buddy. He just bought it a week ago.

It normally lives in a shared hangar but the airport crew was jockying some planes around to fit some jets in. They had got all but one (this one!) back inside when the tornado hit. The airport is also an Air National Guard base. Some C-130s got jumbled around, too.

What a mess.

Seriously, does anyone here see an opportunity for the Federal government here if it plays its cards right? Simply have federally-funded scientists come up with a cockamamie theory that blames businesses, preferably as many as possible, for natural disasters. Then use the power granted by the hysterical public to exert even more control over the economy, and all the money. "OK, there's this "greenhouse gas" theory... if we get this right, we should be able to sew up control of the world economy..."
