Just got done listening to the audio version of John Stossel's "Give Me a Break." Excellent! I thought I would be let down by a tepid nod toward the free market but I was quite impressed by the libertarian manner in which Stossel attacks his research and reporting. He even quotes Mises! I think that this book in the hands of the laymen would go much further in persuading a non-libertarian toward free market thinking than all the Libertarian Party bluster combined.
Do you know somseone that is scared of free markets? Send them "I, Pencil" by Leonard Reed. An incredible, real life journey into the birth of a common pencil and the thousands of self-interested strangers from all over the globe that contribute toward it. A classic!
