McGreevey a Victim!

I was watching the morning news shows today. I saw McGreevey's confession and the response from the talking heads and it is blatantly obvious that all are conspiring to convey the message to the American public that McGreevery is resigning because America is homophobic and not ready for an outwardly gay governor. It had nothing to do with the fact that if convicted of his imminent corruption charges, he could face three life sentences...in the electric chair. Plenty of "experts" were interviewed (celebrities, gay rights activists, etc) but none ever mentioned corruption, the Constitution or criminal charges.

So I guess poor Jim is the victim and we are the true culprits.

Also, notice the conspicuously long effective date of the resignation - November 15th - safely past the elections. That means they are trying to avoid a special election that Schundler would certainly win, over the nobody who will replace McGreevy after the 15th. Really, New Jersey should get some kind of award. Because we indisputably have the crookedest politicians on earth!
