The Michigan State Supreme Court, not known for its love of freedom in other guises, has reversed itself on the question of eminent domain tyranny. The "Poletown Decision" has been used to justify eminent domain takings across the entire United States on behalf of private interests (see Long Branch, and New London). It looks like many of these illegal thefts from law-abiding citizens on behalf of criminal corporations will be declared illegal - cold comfort for those already so displaced. The Castle Coalition, and the Institute For Justice have been doing yeoman's work opposing this unbelievable state-aided thievery.
