Is Judith Miller An Idiot?
by Vince Daliessio
From antiwar.com;
"Judith Miller is a reporter for the New York Times. After the invasion, on assignment to cover a U.S. military unit as it searches for WMD in Iraq, she's given "clearance" by the Pentagon "to see secret information" – which she "was not permitted to discuss" with Times editors."
Can you say "willing dupe"? This woman, who is allegedly a serious journalist, one of the top people in her field, working for the most prestigious newspaper in the world (ha), agrees not to tell anyone about top-secret "evidence" of WMDs she has been shown by her "sources", including her editors who are responsible for vetting out what she writes.
This is a variation on a scam that car salesmen have been using since Henry Ford first mass-produced them;
"Whatever you do, don't tell anybody about the 'deal' I gave you!" That 'deal' usually adds up to a price somewhere upwards of the MSRP, and is no 'deal' at all. This means you have just been snookered.
The title of this article is therefore a rhetorical question.
